Children’s Ministry

Our desire is to equip and assist parents in the training of our covenant children to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

*Grades are based on which school grade was just completed for the 2023-2024 school year.

Child Safety

To safeguard the children under our care, staff and volunteers undergo a background check and agree to church policies. Additionally, we use an electronic registration system to further ensure the safety of the children within our care. Parents can check their child(ren) in at a computer located outside the upstairs nursery.

Nursery and Preschool

We provide several nurseries designed for the security and nurture of our youngest children during both Sunday School and Worship. Each nursery is staffed with one full-time worker who provides the children with continuity of care along with church-member volunteers. In addition to the safety measures taken above, nursery staff and volunteers also read Carriage Lane's Nursery Handbook.

Our nurseries include:

  • Infants

  • Crawlers

  • Toddlers

  • 2-year-olds

Children’s Sunday School

We use a reformed and covenantal curriculum designed to lead each child through the entire Bible once every seven years, teaching Christ in all of scripture. Our Sunday School classes include:

  • 3 & 4 year olds

  • Kindergarten & 1st grade

  • 2nd & 3rd grade

  • 4th - 6th grade girls

  • 4th - 6th grade boys

Corporate Worship

All children are welcome in worship. We do offer Preschool Praise and Children’s Church (ages 3-2nd grade) to assist parents in teaching children about the elements of worship.

Covenant Kids

From September-April we have a Wednesday night program for children ages 3-6th grade (nursery is also available for our younger kids, and youth group happens concurrently for our youth in 7th grade-12th grade). Covenant Kids includes time of singing the Hymn of the Month with the choir, a lesson, craft, and games. This past year we worked through learning about a number of character traits that the children were encouraged to take home and practice.
